Akses Transportasi ke Lokasi Bencana Mentawai Masih SulitHingga hari ketiga pascabencana tsunami di Kepulauan Mentawai, sarana trasportasi untuk mengangkut relawan dan bantuan, baik makanan dan logistik, menjadi kendala utama di lokasi bencana. Hingga sore ini, bantuan obat, logistik, dan ratusan relawan masih menumpuk di Kecamatan Sikakap, Pagai Utara sebagai titik utama pengumpulan relawan dan bahan bantuan baik dari Padang dan daerah lain.
"Minimnya transportasi adalah kendala utama bagi kami untuk mengirimkan personil dan bantuan ke lokasi bencana, " ujar Camat Sikakap, Daulat Sapalakay, Kamis (28/10).
Menurut Daulat, hari ini adalah hari kedua proses evakuasi di beberapa lokasi bencana. Dari informasi Daulat, bagian yang paling parah adalah Pagai Selatan, yakni Desa Malakopa, Desa Baleraksok, dan daerah Pagai Utara, seperti Dusun Munte, dusun Sabeu Gugung di Desa Batumonga.
Selain minimnya alat transportasi, di lokasi bencana masih minim personil dan tim yang melakukan evakuasi, petugas kesehatan, dan fasilitas, seperti dapur umum, serta penampungan air bersih yang masih minim. Daulat menambahkan, pihak kecamatan bersama Dinas Sosial setempat baru hari ini membentuk struktur penanggung jawab penanggulangan bencana Mentawai.
Menurut Daulat, struktur penanggung jawab ini perlu untuk menginvetarisasi jumlah personil dan jenis bantuan yang dibawa oleh berbagai organisasi kemanusiaan dan juga bantuan dari pemerintah pusat dan pemerintah daerah, sehingga dapat diklasifikasi sesuai kebutuhan di lokasi bencana.
